Quick Update!

Hi! I realized I hadn't posted in a while and although I always mean to, my priority is always to fill orders and make sure that CLC operations are running smoothly.

Anyway, just a few quick updates:

1) The Private Island Collection's retirement date has been moved to October 1st. This will coincide with the price increases we'll be implementing.

2) We are really up against the high-end of our TAT range. Several factors contributed to this: 1) We took in a large # of orders when we launched our Scary Movies Collection, 2) The size of these orders were rather large and 3) I received a number of custom scent requests and this has taken up some of my time as it takes 45 minutes or more to create an initial blend. Usually, custom requests are evenly spaced out, but in one week alone, I received 5. I'm not complaining as it gives me an excuse to play around (yipee!). Just an FYI that if your order contained a custom, it may take me an extra day or 2 to fill your order. For those with whom I collaborated before they placed an order, your blend is ready to go and your order TAT should be fine.

3) Look I'm going to tell you something that I really just need to get off my chest.

CLC is growing quickly and above anything else, I am so deeply grateful to those who made and continue to make this possible. But seriously, I'm scared and nervous and though I've learnt from my past mistakes, I still cannot help but feel some trepidation when I think of what's happening to CLC. I guess this is good, positive nervous energy right? I'm taking small, measured, deliberate steps. I have my long- and short-term goals and I'm taking the steps necessary to achieve these objectives. I make mistakes along the way, I refine a particular area of operation, I seek and explore areas of opportunity and I think I'm doing good, but still...sometimes I can't help but be nervous. Nervous, a little anxious and sometimes self-doubting. I guess this is part and parcel of running one's own business.

What gets me through these periods of self-doubt and apprehension are the e-mails I get from you. Random e-mails from out of the blue - like Renee's about how Linen Sugar brightened her day. Oh! Or the postcard from Valerie in France! A postcard! Can you believe it? A postcard with the most thoughtful note in the back and pictures of beautiful sights to behold in a little slice of heaven called Petite-Ile. (I think Valerie now regrets sending me that postcard because I shamelessly invited myself for a visit!!!) So please, I just want you to know that your feedback (good and bad) does not go unnoticed and it certainly does not go unappreciated. Know that the impact you have on every aspect of this business is tremendous. I could have the most airtight business and strategic action plan, but if it doesn't serve your interest, it's pretty freakin' useless then isn't it?

So thank you for your e-mails. Thank you for listening to me and thank you for being my sounding board. Thank you for your support. Let's continue to grow together shall we?

Forever grateful,

Sharonn
