Smooth and velvety key lime buttercream frosting sits atop a rich yellow cupcake studded with sugared cranberries. The tartness of both lime and cranberry is wonderfully complemented when set against the warm, buttery notes of a fresh baked cupcake. And to keep things interesting, the quintessential holiday scent of pine and cedar sits softly in the background, enhancing what is, an already delightful blend.
Ginger Lemon Cupcakes (Another CLC Creation) Holiday Cupcakes 2008 Collection: Recipe - 2 parts lemon cupcake + 1 part ginger infusion + Greedy heapings of lemon zest buttercream frosting + a handful of candied ginger sprinkles = a warm, rich and full-bodied lemony delight that's sure to make you feel all warm and shnuggly.
Mandarin and Mistletoe (Another CLC Creation) Holiday 2008 Collection: This and our other Holiday '08 creation, Sugar Dusted Pine Cones, were created to put an untraditional twist to the traditional. We complemented mistletoe, the quintessential fragrance of the season, with the sweet nectar of mandarin orange and sprinklings of lime zest. The result is a surprisingly sophisticated, spa-like fragrance that's uplifting, a little edgy and definitely different.
O Christmas Tea (Another CLC Creation) Back by popular demand from Winter 2007 Collection: The froth of the day has yet to start and in a couple of hours, your home will be filled with giddy squeals and laughter. For now, the presents sit unopened and the house is still quiet save for the whistling kettle. You pour yourself a mug of tea and savour this moment. O Christmas Tea is a joyful blend of white and black tea punctuated by tart cranberry and citrus exclamations. Add a touch of sweetness from a sugar cane swizzle stick and a bit of warmth from grated ginger and you've got yourself one delightful aroma that commemorates this holiday season.
Spiced Rum Cupcakes (Another CLC Creation) Holiday Cupcakes 2008 Collection: Unbelievably delicious. This heartwarming scent is rich, buttery and sweet and makes the perfect fragrance to wear on those cold, blustery winter days. Taking a traditional yellow cupcake, we added a special blend of holiday spices and a shot or two of rum *hiccup* to the batter, baked it with love and then generously iced the creation with a spiced buttercream frosting. Dee-*hic*-licious!
Sugar Dusted Pine Cones (Another CLC Creation) Holiday 2008 Collection: Another untraditional twist to the traditional. Usually, anything pine has a cleaning product-like characteristic, but not this blend...of course not! We pulled the sweet background of pine to the foreground by adding a generous dusting of white sugar, a fluttery kiss of peppermint and a heavy-handed drizzle of honey. By doing this, we created a wearable fragrance that's more reminscent of winter holidays than spring cleaning!
The Ice Queen Cometh (Another CLC Creation) Back by popular demand from Winter 2007 Collection: All bow to the Ice Queen as she sweeps over her land leaving a frosty trail of her perfume. An exhilarating blast of ice cold peppermint provides the necessary introduction to this blend, followed by black rose and lavender. The drydown is bone chillingly beautiful and exquisite with bold florals laying quietly on a bed of fresh fallen snow. Wear this and get anything but a frosty reception from those around you.
Times Square Gumball Drop (Another CLC Creation) Back by popular demand from Winter 2007 Collection: Nothing says party the way this fragrance does! Cocktail boozy, cheery and fun, this fragrance is a whimsical combination of refined mint julep and playful pink bubblegum, while in the far off distance, the heady and romantic scent of black roses fill the air. Fun, playful and dangerously flirtatious, one more sniff of this scent and we’re gonna have to take away your bottle and call you a cab.
Triple Chocolate Cupcakes (Another CLC Creation) Holiday Cupcakes 2008 Collection: May your heart be light and your mouth all drooly after you sniff this decadent treat of rich chocolate cupcake with a pure chocoalte ganache center. A fudgy ganache frosting rolled in toasted coconut and a drizzel of dark chocolate perfects the blend.
White Vanilla Cupcakes (Another CLC Creation) Holiday Cupcakes 2008 Collection: Here's one for the ages for all you vanilla lovers out there. Vanilla cupcake made with vanilla bean puree is merely the vessel that carries the rich sweet vanilla frosting to your mouth. It took three different vanillas and months of trying to create the base for this blend. The result is 100% pure vanilla indulgence. Enjoy!
Pumpkins on Parade Collection - Fall 2008: Nothing says Autumn like the smell of pumpkins. Every single blend in this collection (with the exception of Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin) is a CLC Creation. Each blend has been lovingly crafted around this quintessential autumn fragrance. In some blends, we used heavy handed helpings of spices, while in others, we used supporting fragrances to bring out the natural (umami) sweetness of pumpkin. Enjoy!
Bittersweet Pumpkin (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Semi-sweet chocolate, pumpkin spices, milk chocolate, hazelnut truffle, spiced sugar and a few drops of bitter almond collide to create this delicious treat. This is one of those blends that takes on the chemistry of the wearer and evokes a sense of familiarity, a "Where have I smelt this before?" type of wondering. Decadent and rich with a slight buttery background, wear this fragrance and recall your own favourite memory.
Black Vanilla Pumpkin (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Created by CLC customer (and friend, sounding board and Test Smarty) Kristy. We took equal parts of sweet and spicy pumpkin and laid a blanket of Black Vanilla over the accord. The result is a smooth, uncomplicated and unhurried blend, much like an afternoon stroll in the park on a fine autumn day.
Cherry Pumpkin Puffs (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: We wanted to create a sweet, light and fruity pumpkin blend that wasn't too laden with heavy spices and this is the result. We folded mashed pumpkins into cherry meringue and then lightly dusted the concoction with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. What you get is a sniff that doesn't take itself too seriously, with the sweet tartness of cherry doing a good job keeping the pumpkin and spices from being too heavy.
Crumb Topped Pumpkin Loaf (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Another creation fresh from the oven. Crumb-topped pumpkin loaf is the droolicious scent of warm pumpkin bread studded with hard toffee bits, mocha chips and chewy caramel. Rich, decadent and absolutely delicious. Fans of Evil Bread will fall for this one.
Dark Pumpkin Vetyver (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Proof that the pumpkin sniff can be more than just foody. With this blend, pumpkin takes a supporting role, but ends up stealing the show! Dark Pumpkin Vetyver uses vetyver to coax out the sweetness of pumpkin. The infusion of rich Italian espresso grounds the fragrance and forms the base for the blend. Surprisingly sophisticated and sexy...perfect for the boardroom...or the bedroom!
Dutch Pumpkin Crisp (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Inspired by the traditional dutch apple crisp, our pumpkin version takes applesauce, additional helpings of cinnamon and dried ginger and mixes it all together with sweet pumpkin filling. We then topped it with roughly crushed gingerbread and snickerdoodle cookies for a treat that warms both body and soul.
Midnight Pumpkin (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: A dark and mysterious spiced floral blend that showcases the pumpkin's versatility. Taking advanatage of pumpkin's adaptive characteristics, we created a more sweet and less spicy accord of this fragrance. To that, we infused the heady floral fragrance of night blooming lotus and a scattering of freshly fallen violet petals. The collission is gorgeous, with notes playing off one another - the spice tempering the floral, the smoothness of pumpkin rounding out the edges and all of them resting on a comforting drydown of soft, barely detectable, powdery musk.
Sweet Pumpkin Cinnamon Pumpkins on Parade Collection: We've had several requests to carry this B&BW dupe so here it is. This is as close to the original as you'll get and it's wonderful. Not as foody as the name implies with a definite floral character to the fragrance. For those not inclined to go totally foody, this may be the perfect compromise - a wearable gourmand scent that's perfect for the fall. Pumpkin, clove and cinnamon set against a canvas of autumn flowers and leaves.
Sweet Pumpkin Tea (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: The heart of this blend lies in the spices used to support and coax out the natural smoothness of fresh pumpkin puree. The use of baharat, a warm blend of Arabic spices, gives body and depth to this composition. Pure black tea's astringent character supported by sweet lavender form the topnotes, but the true standout of the blend is how the addition of sweet curry wraps all the elements together like a luxurious cashmere throw.
The Princess and The Pumpkin (Another CLC Creation) Pumpkins on Parade Collection: Created by mother and daughter team Kathy (the Princess) and baby Dyllan (the cutest Pumpkin ever), this dynamic duo envisioned a silky pumpkin sniff with equal parts of sweetness and spice all wrapped into the smoothness of buttercream marshmallow frosting. The crowning glory of this blend is the emergence of pink sugar (Pink Fluff) from the heart through the drydown, making this a warm, sweet and girly fragrance that's fit for any pumpkin or princess.

Angel Whispers (Another CLC Creation) Winter '07 Collection: Even the sweetest angel falls from grace when tempted with this sinful treat! We dare you to resist this mouthwatering blend of fresh baked sugar cookies with a heavy handed dollop of lemon vanilla frosting. The vanilla cream background is smooth and unhurried, giving the blend its sweetness and warmth, while whispers of lemon zest provide just the right amount of lightness. Sweet, inviting and lick-your-fingers good. Resistance is futile. Indulgence imperative.
Dolce Mocha Biscotti (Another CLC Creation) Winter '07 Collection: On the corner of Bleecker & McDougal, in the West Village sits Le Figaro Café known for its desserts and coffee. (Of course, when I used to bartend there, it was also known for its killer cocktails)! On a warm day, an outdoor table was the perfect spot to people/celebrity watch while enjoying a cappuccino and biscotti. Dolce Mocha Biscotti is reminiscent of this experience. Almond biscotti, lightly dusted with confectioner’s sugar and drizzled with rich chocolate sauce is perfectly complemented with a steaming cup of frothy cappuccino. We took our famous Almond Biscotti blend and set it against a rich and creamy caramel mocha background. This fragrance is not too heavy on any one note, making this composition a perfect harmony for the nose.
Sweet Cream & Lavender (Another CLC Creation) Winter '07 Collection: Nothing’s more comforting than a big, warm hug, but this comes pretty darn close. The comforting fragrance of buttercream frosting and lavender, cradled against a rich vanilla background is sure to give your soul the most delectable embrace. The drydown is slightly sweeter as sweet cream notes emerge and lavender rests softly in the background.
The Gilded Lily (Another CLC Creation) Winter '07 Collection: The Gilded Lily is absolutely disarming in its complexity. Candy notes collide with floral overtones to create a scent that is ever-evolving, making adjectives and descriptions weak attempts at capturing this blend’s true character. Femininely mercurial and elusive, just when you think you’ve captured this fragrance’s heart and figured it all out, she changes on you. It wears differently on different people. Violet Cream Puffs is a surprisingly comforting fragrance in spite of its unusual combination of floral and foody notes. It beckons and beguiles, whispers “Come hither” and pulls you closer.
